SCRAP

Harmony Korine has shot the look book for Urban Outfitters '11 S|S season.
Genius.

the musky tone of the photographs is what i love the most about this photo shoot. It mimics the of-the-moment retro 70's fashion trend just perfectly.

I love the scrap book effect which runs through out the look book; its a clever way of updating that era, with it now being 2011 n' all! Of course the 70's has been and gone, but the playful, creatively clever composed and slightly child-like doodle-lism and painted chaos of this shoot has really bought it back to date.

no party like FUNERAL PARTY

This year Radio 1's 'In New Music We Trust' line up has definitely not been disappointing. One of the bands that's supposed to be tipped for 2011 is Funeral Party; a punk dance band from California, and last night I went to their gig here in Nottingham, at the Bodega Social Club.

Their pretty awesome live and their new album, The Golden Age of Knowhere is worth having a little listen to, quite a good soundtrack for the upcoming warmer months of the year. Me and my friend accidental met the supporting band Flashguns in the smoking area as they were packing their set away and then bumped Funeral Party's lead singer as well, was kinda coool!

There's a few pretty good gigs coming up at Bodega so its worth checking out their website if you're into that
